Taco Seasoning Mix
(Clone of McCormick® Taco Seasoning)

For each 1.5 oz (42g) foil package equivalent:

2   tsp dried onion, ground
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1   tsp salt
1   tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp oregano, ground
1/2 tsp cumin, ground
1/2 tsp paprika, ground
1/2 tsp dried garlic, ground

This formulation is quite mild.  For more a more interesting result add at least:

1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper (or more)

The above formulation differs from the McCormick list of ingredients as follows:

• Potato starch and whey solids are used in the McCormick mix instead of corn starch.
• The McCormick mix includes sugar and citric acid.
